This species has become established at Claytor Lake State Park in Pulaski Co., an obvious inadvertent introduction, the first west of the Blue Ridge.
Habitat
Lawns, pastures, and other disturbed habitats, typically in dry, exposed soils. Frequent in the s. and c. Piedmont and adjacent inner Coastal Plain.
