Comments
Little known in Virginia. Ours are the northernmost and of sporadic occurrence. Bailey cites a specimen collected by Ashe in 1918 from Great Falls. She maps a second occurrence (approximately in Madison County) without citing a specimen. Most Virginia material is var. trifoliata.
Habitat
Habitats unknown, but presumably similar to that of var. trifoliata.
