Comments
This Eurasian grass appeared spontaneously in a shaded yard in Charlottesville, where it has persisted and slowly spread; first collected by C. E. Stevens, Aug. 1992. Introduced in several states north of Virginia, and in the Pacific Northwest, where it is considered an invasive species.
Habitat
Shaded lawns and roadsides. Rare, Piedmont; known only from Albemarle County.
