Habitat
Seepage swamps, seeps, bogs, hummocks of alluvial and nonriverine swamp forests; rarely in low, rich, upland forests adjacent to floodplains or wetlands. Infrequent in the Coastal Plain; rare in the Piedmont and mountains.
