- This large, heavily armed species can be highly invasive. It is similar to Rubus bifrons, and has been confused with it. Rubus pascuus has stout, recurved prickles, a canescent upper stem, and white to pale pink flowers (vs. straight prickles, glabrescent upper stem, and pale to deep pink petals in R. bifrons).
- Habitat
- Old fields, fencerows, clearings, and roadsides. Infrequent but often locally abundant where found; primarily Piedmont and Coastal Plain.
