Native of Florida, but introduced northward in other southeastern states, especially on old rock or brick walls and in other urban habitats.
Habitat
Old spring and stone masonry outcrop at James River Park in Richmond (R. Wright 4916 at VCU). Whether this species will persist, or reappear in similar urban habitats in Virginia, remains to be seen.
