Comments
Trillium cuneatum is a cultivated escape in Virginia that resembles T. sessile but is more robust and differs in several floral characters. It is a Southeastern species, ranging naturally north only to western and central North Carolina.
Habitat
Rich, mesic, usually disturbed, forests. Frequently planted and occasionally escaped, sometimes spreading into rather extensive populations. Documented from Albemarle, Nelson, and Roanoke counties.
