- Comments
- This species is endemic to the Coastal Plain of southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. The culms are usually lax (lopping over to the ground when mature) and the erect inflorescence rays often quite elongated.
- Habitat
- Openly forested alluvial swamps; seasonally flooded bottomland clearings and ditches. Rare, inner Coastal Plain of se. Virginia; known only from the Nottoway and Meherrin River watersheds.
