- Depression swamps and ponds, old millpond shores, floodplain sloughs, and other open, mostly seasonally flooded wetlands. Apparently infrequent and local in the s. Coastal Plain, rare in the Piedmont, and disjunct to Augusta County in the Ridge and Valley province.
