Comments
Two subspecies - ssp. miliaceum and ssp. ruderale - have been collected in Virginia. However, due to uncertainty about the subspecific identity of some herbarium material, we are mapping only at the species level for now.
Habitat
Frequently planted in wildlife food plots and occasionally spontaneous; also sometimes found around bird feeders (apparently a common component in bird seed mixes). A rare, questionably persistent weed; native of Eurasia.
