Comments
In North America, long called Taraxacum laevigatum (Willd.) DC., an inappropriate name according to FNA, Vol 19. This species resembles the ubiquitous Taraxacum officinale and grows in the same sorts of habitats. It has no doubt been overlooked to some extent and is probably more widespread than current records suggest.
Habitat
Roadsides, lawns, pastures, cultivated fields, and waste ground. Infrequent in the Coastal Plain and Piedmont; rare in the mountains.
Native Status
Introduced
