- Calcareous woodlands and barrens. Rare, sw. mountains; collected only once, near Hubbard Springs in Lee County by Lloyd G. Carr, June 18, 1942, and report by him (as Psoralea onobrychis) many years later in Castanea 30(2): 112 &138 (1965). Carr reported that "specimens have been deposited in the Gray Herbarium and elsewhere." (footnote, p. 114). The Gray Herbarium specimen (Carr 1027) has been examined and the identification verified. Other specimens may reside at the University of Pennsylvania where Carr was a student at the time of his study.
