- Habitat
- The full range of habitats in Virginia is uncertain; in the mountains, it often grows on wet rocks and gravel along streamsides; there are several records from Coastal Plain wetlands, but the substrate is not indicated. This species appears to be quite rare (or at least rarely collected) and scattered across the state.
