- A sterile hybrid of Narcissus poeticus X tazetta. Frequently grown for ornament, persistent, and sometimes escaped. Despite the fact that it does not reproduce from seed, this species can be locally quite numerous in areas removed from plantings, presumably spread by discarded or transported bulbs.
- Habitat
- Roadsides, alluvial clearings, disturbed successional forests, and waste ground. Scattered records in the Coastal Plain and Piedmont; probably more widespread than records indicate.
