Comments
Known from two specimens, one collected by Isabel Hildesheim in 2023 at Little Stony Man Mt. (Shenandoah N.P.), the other by T.F. Wieboldt in 2022 from a shale cliff along Jackson River Trail. Other than a few North Carolina populations and an obscure reference to it at Kate's Mtn, West Virginia, this species is more northern.
Habitat
Disturbed soil (presumably among greenstone outcrops), elevation 1,086 meters, and in a clump of Pleopeltis under red cedar on SW-facing shale outcrop.
