- Comments
- Our records, from near the fall line in east-central Virginia, are considerably disjunct from the species native range in sandy soils of the Coastal Plain from North Carolina to Texas. That, plus the lack of recent documentation, strongly suggest that this species was an ephemeral introduction to our flora.
- Habitat
- Waste ground, railroad sidings, and sandy field edges. Rare, known only from Henrico and New Kent counties; no recent collections.
- Native Status
- Introduced
