- Comments
- This species was reported in literature by Pursh from Southampton Co. but not found by Fernald during his 14 years of botanizing in southeastern Virginia. It was subsequently collected three times by Alton Harvill in the late 1960's. It has not been documented since.
- Habitat
- Dry, sandy roadsides and forest borders. Rare in the inner Coastal Plain and outer Piedmont of extreme s. Virginia (Greensville, Halifax, and Southampton counties); not collected recently.
