- Comments
- This European introduction seems quite at home and potentially invasive on the xeric ledges of carbonate-rock cliffs in the Ridge and Valley province. In recent years, it has also been documented with increasing frequency in ruderal habitats.
- Habitat
- Naturalized species of dry rocky woodlands, cliffs, and outcrops over limestone, dolostone, and other calcareous or mafic rocks; also around old homesites, in fencerows, and in roadside thickets. Infrequent (sometimes locally abundant) in the mountains and s. Piedmont; rare elsewhere.
