- Comments
- Map incomplete at this time. As can be seen from the map of Lechea pulchella, sensu lato, additional specimens previously determined only as L. pulchella have not been examined and require annotation to assign them to varieties. See Comments under Lechea pulchella var. ramosissima for additional information.
- Habitat
- Dry forests, woodlands, clearings, fields, roadsides, and other dry, open habitats. Lechea pulchella sensu lato is frequent over much of the Coastal Plain and Piedmont, and very infrequent in the mountains. Based on confirmed specimens to date, the northern var. pulchella appears to be heavily concentrated in the Piedmont, with a few Coastal Plain and mountain outliers. It reaches its southern range limit in south-central Virginia and does not reach North Carolina.
