- This Asiatic vine is introduced along the coast from Alabama to Delaware, and is considered a noxious weed in the Carolinas. Not yet widespread in Virginia, it has the potential to become a major invasive in the state's maritime zone.
- Habitat
- Dunes and sandy yards along the coast in Virginia Beach; also recently collected at Bethel Beach, Mathews County. Probably planted as a salt-tolerant ornamental and now escaping and becoming invasive.
