Habitat
In a variety of acidic mineral soils and peats of seasonal ponds, swamps, seepages, bogs, saturated forests, interdune swales, stream edges, pocosins, and mafic fens; also in distubed wetlands such as diches and beaver impoundments. Occurs statewide, one of our most common species of peat moss.
