- First found in planters in 2010 and considered a waif. It has not only persisted but also spread into sidewalk cracks, along streets, and into vacant lots. Polycarpon tetraphyllum is also know from the SE Atlantic, Gulf and Pacific coastal states.
- Habitat
- Sandy, ruderal habitats such as sidewalk cracks, parking lots, vacant lots and waysides. Rare, known only from Virginia Beach City.
