- Trillium cuneatum is a cultivated escape in Virginia that resembles T. sessile but is more robust and differs in several floral characters. It is a Southeastern species, ranging naturally north only to western and central North Carolina.
- Habitat
- Rich, mesic, usually disturbed, forests. Frequently planted and occasionally escaped, sometimes spreading into rather extensive populations. Documented from Albemarle, Nelson, and Roanoke counties.
