- An Asiatic mint, frequently cultivated and reported as a naturalized escape in nine states south and southwest of Virginia. A Fairfax County record documented in 2021 by Nelson DeBarros was the first report of the species in Virginia; a second station was reported in 2024 by Rod Simmons.
- Habitat
- Reported as abundant at sites in two different Fairfax County watersheds: on a trailside in a stream valley park and around a stormwater detention pond.
