- Comments
- Populations in Virginia and North Carolina have generally been considered European introductions, but Flora of the Southeastern U.S. says they are also "plausibly native," given the species' worldwide distribution on dunes and beaches.
Flora of the Southeastern U.S. is in the process of transferring all Calystegia spp. back into Convolvulus. Several of the combinations have not been formally published, so we are holding off on evaluating and/or following this change until the work is completed. - Habitat
- Beaches and dunes. Rare, outer Coastal Plain; known only from Accomack County.
- Native Status
- Introduced
