- This Eurasian grass appeared spontaneously in a shaded yard in Charlottesville, where it has persisted and slowly spread; first collected by C. E. Stevens, Aug. 1992. Introduced in several states north of Virginia, and in the Pacific Northwest, where it is considered an invasive species.
- Habitat
- Shaded lawns and roadsides. Rare, Piedmont; known only from Albemarle County.
