- Comments
- Known from a single historical collection in Mecklenburg County. The specimen label reads only, "Roadside of Hwy. 58, W.D. Seaman 7460, July 7, 1967." Originally determined as H. reductum but annotated to H. lloydii by B.A. Sorrie in 2008.
- Habitat
- Dry roadside. Rare in s. Piedmont. This species is endemic to the Piedmont and inner Coastal Plain from s. Virginia to Alabama.
