- Interdune swales, grassy roadsides, and lawns. Rare in the far se. Coastal Plain. First found in Virginia on April 1, 1979 by R. Dale Thomas and others in the lawn of Tabernacle United Methodist Church at Sigma, west of Sandbridge, Virginia Beach.
